Description:
There is a need to develop people with high level skills to meet
the demands of the IT industry in various areas. Objective
evaluation of those skills that represent not just knowledge, but
the practical application of knowledge is required.
What is required is standards for:
- Criteria for strategic HR development aligned with corporate
strategies
- Dictionary/Framework for education and training objectives
- Reference framework for individual career path and
development.
- Government vision and policy for development in IT
There currently is no standardization of the Business Component
for IT Service Industry, i.e., People.
Objectives:
Responses will be used to define Roadmap Items to produce
specifications that will enable the precise specification of skills
and skill development that can be transformed
into objective criteria to assess skills and map them to corporate
objectives, and the design of training programs based on the
corporations profiles of skill requirements and the objective
determination of the skill gaps that need to be filled.
